Pair of Ikat Oven Mitts

Pair of Ikat Oven Mitts, made with Guatemalan ikat (jaspe) fabric woven on a foot loom by Maya artisans. The threads are tie-dyed by hand before weaving, creating the soft, blurred patterns of traditional cortes (skirts). Because each piece is handcrafted, the patterns are never exactly the same. Sold by the pair.
